ADDRESS: 701 Mazant St, New Orleans, LA 70117
CUISINE: Barbecue, Ribs, Sandwiches
FEATURES: Handicap Access, Kid Friendly, Patio Seating, Smoke Free, Full Bar
DESCRIPTION

NoLa may not traditionally be thought of as a barbecue town, what with all the other wonderful food around, but The Joint, has been changing perceptions and building a devoted following since 2004. In February 2012, this premier New Orleans 'cue spot moved a few blocks into a spiffier, more expansive location on Mazant Street in the Bywater neighborhood. Smoked specialties include the likes of baby back ribs, beef brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and locally made Cajun sausage.

"The brisket and ribs are crisp-edged, the sausage and pulled-pork redolent of wood smoke, and the sides are far from afterthoughts. Put it all together in a building that lives up to its name and you've got arguably the best barbecue purveyor in Orleans Parish."

- Brett Anderson, The Times-Picayune

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner Mon-Sat. Closed Sun.
