DESCRIPTION
As much sports bar as restaurant, with its big screens and multiple bars, Shadyside's Buffalo Blues features some of the best barbecue and wings in the entire Pittsburgh area. You're likely to find college students commandeering the back bar's video games and dartboards over beers while families in the dining areas work their way through plates of wings and barbecued baby back ribs. Varieties of wings range from the milder Buffalo Blue to the hottest Spicy Garlic or Hotter 'an Hell. Starters and light meals include various salads, nachos, chili, French onion soup and chicken quesadillas. Besides the featured ribs, main-plate options include burgers and a hot vegetarian sandwich. Try the hot fudge brownie à la mode for dessert.
"These wings made it a pleasure. They are crispy and relatively small, but that compares favorably to most. Some wings are undone by a soggy texture - they taste as if they were just tossed into a tub of boiling water, and left there until the outside skin curdled. Not here. With these wings, you could practically taste the preparation."
- Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Full bar. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Late-night Fri-Sat.
