Breakfast served all day is always a great thing, especially when it's great breakfast served all day. You'll find it at any one of the several Pittsburgh-area Pamela's Diner locations, all under the guidance of hands-on owners Pam Cohen and Gail Klingensmith. Locals rave about Pamela's California French toast, featuring cinnamon-raisin wheat bread dipped in vanilla egg batter. The signature hotcakes include varieties such as chocolate chip banana, strawberry, blueberry and banana walnut. Corned beef hash, waffles and various omelets are also breakfast stars. Sides include memorable lyonnaise potatoes. Pamela's has a small lunch menu with favorites such as club sandwiches and slaw dogs.
"... made even more famous when President Obama stopped there during his campaign. The owners were subsequently invited to D.C. to cook pancakes for an official breakfast meeting."
- Gayot
