Shahrazad Persian & Middle Eastern Cuisine

414-964-5475  •  $$
ADDRESS: 2847 N Oakland Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53211
CUISINE: Middle Eastern, Persian, Mediterranean
FEATURES: Handicap Access, Kid Friendly, Patio Seating, Smoke Free, Vegetarian Friendly
DESCRIPTION
Shahrazad Persian & Middle Eastern Cuisine, a favorite since 1993 at the edge of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus, is so veggie-friendly that there's a separate meatless menu. You know and love the usual suspects - hummus, falafel, baba ganoush, lentil dishes, rice, couscous, spinach pie. Nothing too new, but all good, all the time. There's fresh lentil soup daily, and plenty of people in the UWM 'hood stop by just for that. Meat eaters can order shawarma, grilled lamb and kabobs. A sit-down restaurant, with slightly higher prices than other Middle Eastern joints, it's better than your average kabob shop.
"Shahrazad sets high standards for Middle Eastern food."
- Jeff Beutner, Milwaukee Shepherd Express, March 24, 2011
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Beer and wine available. Serving lunch Tue-Sun, dinner nightly.
