The Bachelor Farmer, opened by brothers Eric and Andrew Dayton in 2011, continues to rank among the most heralded restaurants in the Twin Cities. Its locally sourced, Scandinavian-influenced contemporary fare from Chef Paul Berglund has included entrees such as pheasant meatballs with red cabbage spaetzel, and braised beef shoulder with ember-roasted vegetables.
James Beard Foundation: Paul Berlund, Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic finalist, 2014.
"The talented team at The Bachelor Farmer, assembled by brothers and co-owners Eric and Andrew Dayton, is bringing the simple sophistication of clean flavors and complex textures — like sour and chewy dried cherries, creamy and earthy duck liver pâté, and ripe, salty pistachios — and making them a huge part of this re-imagined smorgasbord experience."
