DESCRIPTION

Once a grocery store and later a po-boy shop, fun and funky Dick & Jenny's delights with Cajun and Creole entrees such as bronzed Louisiana flounder topped with crawfish dynamite, and seared duck breast with Louisiana alligator sausage.  

 

"... Dick and Jenny's exudes rustic charm. Seared ahi tuna is served on a carrot and black sesame rice cake with grilled asparagus, wasabi aioli and soy reduction. The lobster and Brie topped filet mignon is served with garlic mashed potatoes and green peppercorn demi-glace."

"Dick & Jenny's is a neighborhood restaurant that pulls diners from all over town. The food is lusty and homespun, drawing on both Cajun and Creole cooking traditions. Reservations are not accepted, but diners traditionally don't mind the long waits, knowing the dark roux gumbo, fried oysters with spicy slaw, and smoked double-cut pork chops are worth it. The friendly, mid-level prices and rural cottage atmosphere only add to the appeal."
