Opened in 1964 and entirely renovated in 2011, Le Perigold features classic French fare such as Dover sole, duck a l'orange and rack of lamb. Expect starched white linen tablecloths, tuxedoed wait staff and the whole bit.
"A renovation did nothing to disguise the comforting, cosseting old-world feel of this Sutton Place landmark, where tuxedo'd captains oversee tableside service. Order medalions of veal in a cream morrel mushroom sauce, or a salmon fillet molded into the shape of a petite mignon."
