Cattlemen's Steakhouse

405-236-0416  •  $$$
ADDRESS: 1309 S Agnew Ave, Historic Stockyards City, Oklahoma City, OK 73108
CUISINE: Breakfast, Late-Night Dining, Steak House, Catfish, American Traditional
FEATURES: Full Bar, Handicap Access, Kid Friendly, Smoke Free
DESCRIPTION
Located in Stockyards City since 1910, Cattlemen’s is the oldest continuously running restaurant in Oklahoma City. Like many great restaurants across the country — well ... maybe not — Cattlemen’s was won in a dice game when the late Gene Wade rolled a "hard six" to acquire the restaurant in 1945. Signature dishes such as the juicy T-bone steak or lamb fries, i.e., lamb testicles (impress your friends with your ruggedness), have attracted not only locals through the years but celebrities such as Gene Autry, John Wayne, basketball great Charles Barkley and TV and country music star Reba McEntire. Other recommended menu items include the rib eye or filet mignon, fried catfish, and ham steak with red-eye gravy. Steak and eggs top the breakfast menu.
"The restaurant has employed much of the same staff for decades, and their longevity has produced a predictable quality that's remained much the same for a century."
Gayot
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Kids' menu. Full bar. Serving breakfast from 6 am, lunch and dinner daily. Late-night Fri–Sat.
