Fun, reasonably priced food, patio dining and a friendly waitstaff typify Crepevine, a collection of popular crêperies with several Bay Area locations. Traditional breakfast fare includes French toast, pancakes and fluffy omelets and scrambles made with three eggs and ingredients such as tofu, feta, sausage, avocado and soy bean chorizo. Sandwiches include the Mediterranean with grilled eggplant, roasted peppers, tomatoes, pesto and provolone on focaccia bread, or the Pacific with salmon, arugula, avocado and caper aioli on a bun. Crêpes include the Santa Fe - scrambled eggs, provolone and salsa - or the Kyoto - tofu, spinach, bell peppers, shiitake mushrooms and peanut sauce. Sweet crêpes are made with Nutella, strawberries, chocolate, orange liqueur, cinnamon, applesauce and vanilla ice cream. Pastas, salads and soup are also served throughout the day.
"Utilitarian fare including omelets, pancakes, salads and bagels - and, of course, crepes - is dirt cheap, decent and has just enough NorCal flair to remind diners they're not in Dallas."
